Vitur Summit 2025, held on 7 and 8 May at the NH Malaga, was undoubtedly one of the most outstanding and transformative meetings for the Flexible Accommodation sector.
With more than 600 attendees, a hundred international speakers and the backing of the sector's leading institutions and companies, the event offered two vibrant days of networking, strategic knowledge and vision for the future.
Investors, operators, technology and services companies, and public administrations actively participated in building the future of Flexible Accommodation and in a carefully planned social agenda developed in emblematic places of the city.

📍Malaga, epicentre of the sector
The province of Malaga reaffirms its position as the European capital of Flexible Accommodation, concentrating more than 65% of the tourist housing offer in Andalusia and 10 of the 12 national projects that are underway in the luxury segment. This territorial strength makes it a key pole of attraction for investment, innovation and new brands.
🚀 Launch of StayAlliance
One of the highlights was the presentation of StayAlliance, the new national employers' association for flexible accommodation, chaired by Asier Pereda. This platform was created with the aim of establishing a continuous dialogue with public administrations and social agents, promoting a strong, ethical and sustainable sector.

Vitur Summit 2025 has reaffirmed its leading position in the field of Flexible Accommodation, offering a space for reflection, innovation and collaboration for all the actors involved in this constantly evolving sector.

Vitur Summit addressed various relevant topics, including:
- Technological innovationApplication of artificial intelligence in property management and improvement of the customer experience.
- Emerging modelsDiscussions on Senior Living, Coliving, branded residences and the impact of teleworking on residential tourism.
- Sustainability and regulationAnalysis of the future Andalusian Sustainable Tourism Law, which will include specific articles to regulate Flexible Accommodation.
- Women's leadershipThe round table "New ways of staying for new ways of travelling", organised by the Women in Hospitality platform, highlighted the growing importance of experiential design and the regulatory challenges.

Throughout the event, fundamental reflections were extracted in order to understand where Flexible Accommodation is heading in Europe and the world:
- Growing demandThe need for flexible accommodation solutions, adapted to different population segments and uses: tourism, corporate, student, coliving, senior living and more, is clear and diverse.
- Investor appetitePrivate equity and banking show a strong interest in supporting the development of the sector, which promises solid returns and scalability.
- Professionalisation at the highest levelThe professionalisation of the sector has reached 50% levels thanks to the support of financial institutions and the volume of investment backing existing projects. The industry is moving towards a maturity where only the most prepared, efficient operators with a differential value proposition will survive.
- Increasing competitionThe need for new operators and specialised brands to take the lead in each subvertical of the flex model.
- Technology as a driving forceDigital innovation is key to scale efficiently. There is much to do and even more opportunities to explore.
- Necessary legal frameworkA clear and stable legal framework is urgently needed to consolidate the model and attract long-term investment.
- Public-private partnershipsThe future demands a unified voice and a collaborative ecosystem to build a sustainable, transparent and trustworthy model for investors, customers and society.

Moreover, the agenda does not stop. Before the big event in 2026, we will meet at the next Vitur Forum in Madrid and Seville, meetings with a more local character, which have the following dates:

- Vitur Forum Seville: 27 November
