VITUR PRESENTED THE FUTURE OF FLEXIBLE ACCOMMODATION AT FITUR 2025

Vitur Summit, the benchmark event for Flexible Accommodation, has presented its tenth edition in the Andalusia pavilion of the International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR. 

The event was attended by the president of the Spanish Federation of tourist homes and flats Fevitur Miguel Angel Sotillos, the head of the Regulatory Affairs and Institutional Relations of Fevitur Asier Pereda and the president of the Association of professionals of tourist homes and flats of Andalusia AVVAPro Juan Cubo, and during the same:

  1. The role of the Vitur Summit as a meeting point for Flexible Accommodation professionals has been highlighted.
  2. Dates, location and main themes of the event have been announced.
  3. Vitur's commitment to innovation, sustainability and professionalisation of the sector has been reaffirmed.

Carlos Pérez-LanzacThe founder of the Vitur Summit, presented figures and sectorial data from a year of positive balance and of the important challenges, opportunities and growth prospects for the sector. The new motivations of the visitor, such as the change in work patterns, guest preferences or the trend towards the medium stay open the door to new challenges, but also to many opportunities for destinations: diversification of the tourism offer, revitalisation of spaces, increased spending in the local economy, deseasonalisation, public-private partnerships or employment generation, among others.

Miguel Ángel SotillosFevitur's president, has shown the support of the employers' association to the event, highlighting the importance of having an event such as Vitur Summit in Spain that promotes the professionalisation of the sectorThe use of the EU's own resources is essential to ensure its quality and sustainability.

Asier Pereda, head of Regulatory Affairs and Institutional Relations at Fevitur, shared a reflection on what Flexible Accommodation is and the impact it has, providing data that reinforces its position in the industry. He also highlighted the role of Vitur Summit as a meeting point for professionals from the different verticals linked to the sector (tourist rental, coliving, flex living...).

Finally, John CubeAVVAPro, president of the Andalusian Association of Tourist Housing and Apartment Professionals AVVAPro, gave an overview of the sector in Andalusia, the venue for the Vitur Summit, highlighting the economic impact it has on the region, and Andalusia's position as a preferred destination for Flexible Accommodation in Europe.

The event was attended by real estate operators, investors and consultants, leading companies in the accommodation management technology sector, flexible accommodation associations and representatives of global platforms such as Booking and Expedia.
