The pulse of the Spanish tourism summer has been beating strongly in the extra-hotel sector, which closed July with 24.3 million overnight stays<\/strong>This represents a solid growth of 3,8%<\/strong> compared to the same month of the previous year. This dynamism not only reflects a robust summer season, but also consolidates the long-term trend of expansion, surpassing the previous month's growth by 6,7%<\/strong> the figures recorded in July 2019, before the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main protagonist of this dynamism has undoubtedly been the segment of the tourist flats<\/strong>. With a total of 13.9 million overnight stays<\/strong>This form of Flexible Accommodation<\/strong> has experienced an impressive increase of 6,1%<\/strong> year-on-year, confirming its position as the preferred option for a large proportion of travellers. Of the 24.3 million overnight stays, 15 million<\/strong> were accounted for by non-resident travellers, compared with 9.3 million<\/strong> of residents in Spain.
